 Quarter peals for Emma

Emma’s ordination to the priesthood was marked twice by ringing. On the day, a band composed of ringers from three parishes: All Saints, and St Paul’s Wokingham, and Shinfield, all of whom had ordination candidates, rang a quarter peal of 1250 changes of Cambridge Surprise Major at the Minster Church of St Mary in Reading, before the ordination service. Then the following Sunday, after Emma presided at her first Parish Communion service in the morning, we rang a quarter peal of 1260 changes of Stedman Triples, here at All Saints.
